Unless otherwise specified, all Data requested by this Application is mandatory. If the User refuses to communicate them, it may be impossible for this Application to provide the Service. Navigation Data

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate the Site acquire, during their normal operation, some Personal Data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This is information that is not collected to be associated with identified interested parties, but which by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users who connect to the Site, the addresses in URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used in submitting the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the operating system and the user's computer environment. These data are used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the Site and to check its correct functioning, to identify anomalies and/or abuses, and are deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in case of hypothetical computer crimes against the site or third parties.

Special Categories of Personal Data

In the use of some sections of the Site, the provision of your personal data falling within the category of special categories of Personal Data referred to in Art. 9 of the Regulation may occur, textually "[...] data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, and the processing of genetic data, biometric data for the purpose of uniquely identifying a natural person, data concerning health or data concerning a natural person's sex life or sexual orientation". We invite you to communicate such data only where necessary. Indeed, we remind you that in the face of the transmission of special categories of Personal Data, but in the absence of specific manifestation of consent to process such data, Multiverse cannot be held responsible in any way, nor can it receive complaints of any kind, since in this case the processing will be allowed as it concerns data manifestly made public by the data subject, in accordance with Art. 9.1.e) of the Regulation. We specify, however, the importance—as already noted above—of expressing explicit consent to the processing of special categories of personal data, should you decide to share such information. We also inform you that, for selection purposes, Multiverse may analyze professional social profiles freely made available by you on the Internet (by way of example, but not limited to, the portal named LinkedIn).

Data Voluntarily Provided by the Data Subject

In the use of some Services of the Site, processing of personal data of third parties sent by you to Multiverse may occur. With respect to these hypotheses, you act as an independent data controller, assuming all legal obligations and responsibilities. In this sense, you confer on this point the widest indemnity (manleva) with respect to any dispute, claim, request for compensation for damage from processing, etc. that should reach Multiverse from third parties whose personal data have been processed through your use of the Site's functions in violation of the applicable rules on personal data protection. In any case, if you provide or otherwise process personal data of third parties in the use of the Site, you guarantee from now on - assuming all related liability - that this particular hypothesis of processing is based on a suitable legal basis pursuant to Art. 6 of the Regulation which legitimizes the processing of the information in question.

Cookie

Cookies are small text files that the sites visited by the user send and record on their computer or mobile device, to be then re-transmitted to the same sites at the next visit. Thanks to cookies, a site remembers the user's actions and preferences (such as, for example, login data, the chosen language, font sizes, other display settings, etc.) so that they do not have to be indicated again when the user returns to visit said site or navigates from one page to another of it. Cookies, therefore, are used to perform computer authentication, session monitoring, and storage of information regarding the activities of users accessing a site and may also contain a unique identification code that allows tracking the user's navigation within the site itself for statistical or advertising purposes. During navigation on a site, the user may also receive on their computer cookies from sites or web servers other than the one they are visiting (so-called "third-party" cookies). Some operations could not be performed without the use of cookies, which in certain cases are therefore technically necessary for the functioning of the site itself.
There are various types of cookies, depending on their characteristics and functions, and these can remain on the user's computer for different periods of time: so-called session cookies, which are automatically deleted when the browser is closed; so-called persistent cookies, which remain on the user's equipment until a pre-established expiry date. Based on the legislation in force in Italy, express user consent is not always required for the use of cookies. In particular, "technical cookies" do not require such consent, i.e., those used for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user. In other words, these are cookies indispensable for the functioning of the site or necessary to perform activities requested by the user.
Among technical cookies, which do not require express consent for their use, the Italian Data Protection Authority (see Provision on Simplified Arrangements to Provide Information and Obtain Consent Regarding Cookies of May 8, 2014, and subsequent clarifications, hereinafter also just "Provision") includes:
• "Analytics cookies" where used directly by the site manager to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site itself;
• Navigation or session cookies (for authentication);
• Functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria (for example, the language, the products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided to the same.
For "profiling cookies", conversely, i.e., those aimed at creating profiles relating to the user and used in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the same within the scope of web browsing, prior user consent is required.

Types of cookies used by the Site and possibility of (de-)selection

The Site uses the following cookies that can be de-selected, except for third-party cookies for which you must refer directly to the relative selection and de-selection methods of the respective cookies, indicated via links:
• Technical navigation or session cookies, strictly necessary for the functioning of the Site or to allow you to use the requested contents and services.
• Functionality cookies, i.e., used to activate specific functionalities of the Site and a series of selected criteria (for example, the language) in order to improve the service provided.

WARNING: by disabling technical and/or functionality cookies, the Site may not be consultable or some services or certain functions of the Site may not be available or may not work strictly correctly, and you may be forced to modify or manually enter some information or preferences each time you visit the Site.
Third-party cookies, i.e., cookies from sites or web servers other than that of the Controller, used for the purposes of said third parties. It is noted that such third parties, listed below with the relative links to privacy policies, are typically independent controllers of the processing of data collected through the cookies they serve; therefore, you must refer to their personal data processing policies, information notices, and consent forms (selection and de-selection of respective cookies), as specified in the aforementioned Provision. Regarding third parties that send cookies via our Site, we provide below the links to the respective privacy notices: to such third parties we delegate, as already specified, the responsibility of providing the information and collecting your consent, as provided by the Provision. This responsibility refers not only to cookies that third parties send directly but also to any further cookies that are sent via our Site by virtue of the use of services utilized by the third parties themselves. With respect to such cookies, sent by service providers of the aforementioned third parties, Multiverse does not have the possibility to exercise any control and knows neither their characteristics nor their purposes.
